The Salem Common has been part of Salem since the very beginning, and in 1993 it also became part of Hocus Pocus history. 🎃 From The Phillips School — better known as Jacob Bailey High — to the pathway where Allison handed Max his number back after school, two filming locations from the movie are right here on the Common. Samantha does a little bit of everything — from History & Hauntings, ghost hunting tours, Hocus Pocus Movie Locations, Mysteries & Murders, Friday the 13th tours, and honestly wherever she’s needed. Outside of tours, she’s also the one creating many of the handmade brooms over at Witch City Broom Company. One of her favorite moments was having a teacher tell her she was meant for sharing historical stories, and honestly… we agree. One of our favorite things about what we do is fin One of our favorite things about what we do is finding ways to make each experience feel personal and memorable when people book with us. 🖤 For this recent 40th birthday celebration, our guide Samantha completely transformed the tour into an immersive Salem experience the birthday girl will probably never forget. From the moment the tour began, Samantha stayed fully in character — cloak and all — warning the group that rumors were spreading that Puritan law may soon return to the Commonwealth, and that anyone with “witchy ways” should be careful not to reveal themselves publicly. 👀 The story built throughout the night until the group arrived outside the Witch House… then came the big moment. A proclamation from the sheriff was dramatically delivered and unrolled in front of the group accusing Jennah Ciers of “sundry acts of witchcraft.” The charges included consulting astrology before making major life decisions, hoarding jars, candles, herbs, and “perfectly useful” objects, brewing suspicious handmade soaps, and maintaining unsettling knowledge of Mercury retrograde and moon phases. ⚖️✨ Swipe to see the full sentencing issued by the court. To end the night, we walked the group over to their dinner reservation at @turnersseafood We love sharing Salem’s history, but we also love creating experiences that feel personal, immersive, and genuinely special for the people celebrating with us.
